PROFILE: Evangelist Brandon Romero

Brandon Romero, Director of RAVEN Albuquerque, has truly stepped into a Timothy role in relationship to the ministry. Just as Paul prayed over the young minister Timothy in 1 Timothy 4 to "Stir up the gifts that are within you" so has this young man of God endeavored to see the things that God has entrusted to him "stirred up" that he might take the Gospel in power to the lost and dying.
As Pastor Troy's nephew, and the oldest son of a praying mother--Brandon had Godly examples and much intercession covering him all of his life. Even with this he found himself in bondage to rebellion and the many vices associated with it. After several close calls that could have cost him his life, he decided to enlist in the United States Army where he would find himself in basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
It was during this time that the Holy Spirit truly began to deal in this man's life. Attending a church shepherded by Spirit-filled Pastor, Sgt. Michael Whitaker, Brandon found himself face-to-face with all the things that he had attempted to run from and soon repented and turned his life back over to Jesus Christ.
Since then, God has blessed him with a beautiful wife, Christy and a wonderful son, Cole and they live and minister in the Albuquerque area. Bro. Brandon has an incredible testimony of being "once dead and now alive" like the Prodigal Son and utilizes the lessons that he has learned to minister to many that find themselves in similar situations.
Whether he is preaching the Gospel and feeding the homeless on the streets of Albuquerque, witnessing with the team on Bourbon Street, or taking the Gospel to the multitudes of New York City--this servant of God does so with faith, compassion, and the certainty that the same God who rescued him is still in the business of restoring the brused, broken and forgotten!
